All Parties Hurriyat Conference led by ailing Syed Ali Geelani on Monday said that they were never “officially” invited for talks by government of India.

“This press conference is full of lies, deceit, denial and contradictions,” APHC-g said while reacting to the statement of Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, who addressed a press conference before flying to Jammu early this morning during his two-day visit to Kashmir.

“They never officially invited us and at the same time (GoI) blames us of rejecting it,” the Hurriyat Conference said.

“It is not only shameful but speaks volumes about their truthfulness, sincerity and clarity. They tried to play a game of win only for them as they just wanted to discredit us as whether we accept their offer of dialogue which never came or we ignore their casual personal gestures,” the statement said.

“India is scared of any meaningful dialogue with Hurriyat (Conference) and Pakistan, as they have occupied this land illegally and forcefully by their military might using repeated lies and unabated surplus violence,” the Geelani led Hurriyat Conference added, “we don’t need lectures and sermons on democracy and humanity from those killers whose hands are drenched in the blood of our innocent people.”

Referring to the visit of All Party Delegation led by Singh, “visiting delegations should have gone around the length and breadth of Jammu and Kashmir to witness themselves the ‘gifts’ of Indian democracy by their killer forces for the last so many decades. Sole intention of the delegation was to act as fire fighting just to derail and fizzle the current movement out through these age old tactics, as they have been doing whenever Kashmiris stood up for their basic rights.”

“Once again cautioning the people in the power corridors of India,” the statement quoting the Hurriyat Conference as having said, “despite ruthless force and unparalleled atrocities, you couldn’t weaken the Azadi sentiment of Kashmiris for 70 long years and you cannot be able to do so in future as well.”

The statement said that the Hurriyat Conference advised them to “rise to the occasion and give a passionate hearing to the genuine grievances and basic demands of populace or continue with your military aggression, leading to heavy human price not only in Kashmir, India, Pakistan but the whole region as well”.
