Army based in Islamabad on Monday morning stopped a Jammu bound apple laden truck and beat up its driver and conductor.

Taking to Kashmir Life, Mohammad Rafiq, diver of the truck bearing registration number JK03-9741, said, “we left Harnag around 5:30 AM today for Jammu when army stopped us at Larki Pora bridge around 6 AM.”

He was accompanied by Andleeb Rasool, the conductor of the truck.

He said that army belonged 19 RR based in Larki Pora.

“The army men searched the truck and later thrashed us,” he said.

Rafiq added that after pleading with the army they were let free. “But, they snatched our two mobile phones and some Rs 1500.”

Later, the duo went to Dooru police station to lodge a complaint.
