Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone, Wednesday convened a meeting to review and finalise arrangements for celebration of Urs of Hazrat Mir Syed Ali Hamdan (RA) popularly known as Shah-e-Hamdan.
The biggest congregations would be held at Khanqah Maulla Srinagar, where a large number of devotes are expected to throng the Shrine on the Urs day, an official spokesperson said this evening.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all the concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted power/water supply, sanitation measures, medicare and regulation of traffic during Urs days for the convenience of devotees.
It was said that the Police Department will also ensure adequate security arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Urs.
Senior officers of PHE, PDD, Health, SMC, Traffic and JKSRTC attended the review meeting.
