Late night protests erupted in Nawa Kadal area after forces raided the area.
Local reports said that forces raided Dumb Kadal, Lukheryaar, Tarbal areas of Nawa Kadal in Old Srinagar around 10:30 PM.
“Women came out of their homes crying,” a local said, “soon, people came out of their homes and protests erupted.”
The local added that people started beating tin drums and announcements were made on loud speakers. “But the announcements were short.”
“Forces fired tear gas canisters as well,” the informed local said.
Protests were going on when last reports came in.
