A 22-year-old youth identified as Muzamil Ahmad Bajad, son of Mohammad Abdullah, resident of Reasi at present Zurpora Bijbehara slipped and drowned in river Jhelum while washing his sheep at Zurpora, poloce said on Sunday evening.
The body of the deceased was fished out and handed over to his next of kins for last rites.
Meanwhile, the police said that four persons were injured in a road accident in Kakapora area of Pulwama.
A motorcycle bearing registration number JK01J-0509 driven by Ajaz Ahmad, son of Abdul Rehman Ahanger and a Scooty bearing registration number JK01AB-8751 driven by Amir Rafiqi Mohand, son of Mohammad Rafiqi Mohand, residents of Trisal Pulwama, collided near JK Bank Kakapora, resulting in injuries to both the drivers and two pillion mates who were identified as Ghulam Hassan Dar, son of Habib-ul-Lah Dar and Mohammad Rafiqi Mohand, son of Mohammad Asan Mohand. All the injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment.
