Commenting on the “daily killings” of the innocents, All Parties Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Geelani on Sunday strongly condemned such “barbaric acts by Indian armed forces”, wherein the 7th standard student Nasir Shafi was killed in cold blood.
“Every house is mourning and every mother is wailing on the ruthless killings of their loved ones,” Hurriyat Conference (g) said in a statement issued this evening.
“As Firaun sensed his destruction by the coming generations, he eliminated the whole race of the new born just to safeguard himself and likewise India foreseeing its humiliating exit from Kashmir especially at the hands of the coming generation, they purposely eliminate them with iron fist to make sure that their illegal occupation in Kashmir prolongs,” the Hurriyat Conference said
“Getting encouraged by the sarcastic remarks of ‘toffee and Milk’, armed forces got more ruthless and inhuman, while dealing with the ‘armed terrorists like 11 year old Nasir Shafi’. No human heart can retain its normal rhythm on seeing these barbaric acts of cruelty, but local stooges of this killer force have stooped down even the lowest levels of their sanity and morality as the lust of power, luxuries and emoluments of their loyalties, have stripped even the slightest trace of humanity from them,” it observed.
The Hurriyat Conference asked how come these “political jugglers and illusionists” dare to hypnotize and mesmerize the audiences on TV screens shedding “crocodile” tears for darkening the future of our young generation, when the forces under their control and command ruthlessly kill these school going children every day.
“The army men don’t even spare mentally retarded people as they showered bullets on an insane Showkat Ahmad Misgar of Safakadal,” the statement said.
The statement added that the Hurriyat Conference strongly condemned the armed forces for “not allowing” farmers to harvest their paddy in Kupwara and by doing so “they want to compel us to approach them with begging bowel”.
Commenting on the operation “Calm Down” by army in South Kashmir, the Hurriyat Conference said, “there is nothing new in it, as India always has tried their arsenal very hard to achieve ‘calm’ here in Kashmir, but let it be clear to them that brute force and repressive tactics have never overpowered the genuine and honest voice of any oppressed nation.”
“Real calm and permanent peace can only be achieved by addressing the core issue in its totality, with the sentiments of people, their unparalleled sacrifices and historical back grounds given their due-place, otherwise patch work and toll claims of ‘integral part’ rhetoric may sound good and soothing to their vote bank, but will never ever bring peace in this troubled land,” the Hurriyat Conference added.
