The authorities on Monday slapped Public Safety Act (PSA) on Hurriyat Conference (g) chief spokesperson, Ayaz Akbar and shifted him to Kotbalwal jail in Jammu.
Sources told KNS that Ayaz Akbar who continued to remain under detention since more than two months was shifted to Jammu jail after authorities slapped PSA on him.
Ayaz was lodged at Parimpora wherefrom he was shifted to Srinagar’s central jail following which he was shifted to GOs mess Humhama.
He was detained two months back in view of the current uprising in Kashmir.
“Today, the authorities slapped PSA on him and shifted him to Kotbalwal jail in Jammu,” sources said.
Notably, deputy of Sued Ali Geelani and secretary general of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Hurriyat Conference (g) leader, Altaf Shah, JKLF leader, Showkat Bakhshi, Noor Muhammad Kalwal also languishes at GOs mess Humhama wherefrom Ayaz was shifted to Kotbalwal today.
