According to Deputy Commissioner, Islamabad, the physical test of the candidates, who have applied for the posts of Special Police Officers (SPOs), shall be conducted at District Police Lines, Islamabad at 8 AM from September 24.
The physical test of the candidates from serial no. 1 to 500 shall be conducted on September 24, from serial no. 501 to 1000 on September 25, from serial no. 1001 to 1500 on September 26 and from serial no. 1501 onwards shall be conducted on September 27, an official spokesperson said Monday evening.
The candidates are directed to bring necessary documents with them. These include Academic Qualification Certificate, Date of Birth Certificate, PRC and 4 copies of passport size photographs.
DC Islamabad Reviews Muharram Arrangements
Deputy Commissioner, Islamabad, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah today directed the concerned officers to ensure all the requisite arrangements for observance of Muharram in the district, the spokesperson said.
He said this at a meeting held to review arrangements for Muharram which was attended by officers of Revenue, Engineering, Municipality, CA&PD, Forest, Transport Departments and the Auqaf Committees.
He was informed that Muharram is being observed in the villages of Sofipora-Walarhama, Chattergul and Sehpora-Dooru for which arrangements are well in place.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the PDD and PHE Departments to ensure uninterrupted electric power supply and portable drinking water supply in these areas.
He also directed the PDD to make arrangements for the illumination of the Imambaras and PHE department was directed to keep the water tankers in the back-up during these days. R&B Department was directed ensure repair of all roads leading to Imambaras.
The DC directed the Assistant Director CA&PD to ensure that the essential commodities like rice and sugar are available in surplus in these areas so that people do not suffer on this account.
He also asked the DFO to ensure adequate quantity of firewood during these sacred days.
During the meeting CMO informed that the Department establishes medical camps in all these areas.
He was directed to keep adequate medical staff, medicines and ambulance vans available in these areas. EOs of concerned Municipalities were asked to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in and around the Imambaras.
