An army man died during an on-going “gunfight” near the Line of Control (LoC) in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
The gunfight broke out between suspected militants and Rashtriya Rifles and police men forces near the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowgam sector of frontier district of Kupwara on Tuesday, reports said.
A top police official was quoted as having said that the encounter erupted in Nowgam sector of Handwara after forces challenged a group of militants.
