All Parties Hurriyat Conference chief Syed Ali Geelani Friday strongly condemned the killing of 22-year-old Waseem Ahmad Lone.
Waseem, son of Nazir Ahmad Lone, a resident of Nadihal Rafiabad was killed by army this evening.
“Hallow and tall claims of restrain by these forces is nothing but to befool the common people,” Geelani said in a statement issued this evening, “today’s innocent killing testifies that their lust for blood has not suppressed yet.”
Waseem was working in a paddy field when a Road Opening Party of army opened live ammunition on Baramulla-Kupwara highway.
He was hit by bullet in left shoulder which reached near his neck causing his death in minutes after being hit. He was rushed to Hospital but lost battle of his life.
Locals claimed the bullet firing by army was unprovoked. Police are investigating the case and mulling to lodge a murder case, a top cop said.
