India and Pakistan again resorted to exchange of firing in areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

“There is heavy firing going on in forward areas in Shahpur sector of Poonch district,” reports said.

The firing started at around 1045 hours and is going on.

The exchange of gun fire across LoC continued for over six days now. Indian army last month said that it “carried out surgical strikes along LoC”, however, Pakistan rejected the claim saying that it was usual “violation of ceasefire by Indian troops”.
