The authorities in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district Friday booked a father and son duo under controversial Public Safety Act (PSA). They have been shifted to Kotbalwal jail.
The father-son duo of Hajin was arrested by police a few days back.
They were identified as Ali Muhammad Dar, son of Muhammad Maqbool Dar and his son, Showkat Ahmad Dar.
Dar, a retired teacher is a Hurriyat Conference activist and also an Imam in a local Masjid.
He was earlier arrested for allegedly “instigating violence” while his son, Showkat Ahmad has been booked over the charges of alleged stone-pelting.
Sources said that the father-son duo was arrested a few days at separate places.
“Dar was arrested when he was coming out from the local Masjid and his son was arrested on way to Srinagar a few days back,” said locals.
