Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday condemned the killing of Junaid Ahmad of Saidapora, Eidgah by forces and termed it “conspiratorial design” against new generation of Kashmir.

“Forces unleash a reign of terror in valley since 1947 but particularly they become blood thirsty after post-Burhan episode in which they killed 93 defenceless Kashmiris and injured fifteen thousand. Junaid was not a part of protest but was standing in front of his home gate, yet he was targeted with volley of pellets which hit his head and chest. This outlook of New-Delhi is ample evidence how the government of India is working on genocide of new-generation of Kashmir,” Jama’at said in a statement issued this afternoon.

“New-Delhi is working on peace of dead agenda in Kashmir and it is why they hoodwinking gullible masses within and outside India in the attire of national security and integrity which global powers should take strong note of it and to make accountable India on violation of human rights perpetrated by its unruly forces. New-Delhi instead of halting its continuous spree of killings, left no stone unturned to further its wicked plan,” Jama’at said.

Jama’at-e-Islami expressed deep sympathy with the family of Junaid and urged international forums to take strong notice of human rights violations in Kashmir and come “forward” for the safety and security of Kashmiris.

Moreover Jama’at expressed its strong resentment over the “behaviour of police and administration” who slapped notorious PSAs indiscriminately upon helpless Kashmiris.

“First people of no crime are being detained and later send to far flung jails which is a blatant violation of human rights. For this, district, sub-district and deputy magistrates have signed PSA dossiers blindly without knowing the facts and thus this section of society become enemy of its own people. These administrative officers are part and parcel of the same society but they are doing such shocking acts just for worldly benefits,” the Jama’at said adding, “police and administration have detained countless pro-freedom people which includes Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Aasiyeh Andrabi and Fehmeeda Sofi under draconian laws and deprived them from medicinal and food facilities.”

In the meanwhile, the statement said that Jama’at spokesperson Advocate Zahid Ali was produced before the executive magistrate, Bemina, Srinagar today on 8:10:2016 but police “failed” to produce any evidence against him in case under section 107/151/Cr PC.

“The magistrate gave police last and final chance to produce the evidence failing which the accused would be considered to be free and released,” the statement added.

The next date has been fixed on 13/10/2016. Zahid Ali Advocate is being shifted from one case to another “to prolong his illegal detention quite contrary to the procedure established by law”. “Same treatment is being given to all other such detainees.”
