Intense clashes erupted in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday afternoon.
Reports and local sources said that as soon as mandatory Friday congregational prayers ended people tried to take out a pro-freedom rally in Gulshan Chowk.
“But forces intercepted them firing tear gas shells,” eye witnesses said, “this led to intense stone pelting.”
The clashes are going while as security deployment has been added.
Meanwhile, pro-freedom protests erupted in Onagam area of the district after Friday prayers. “Forces fired tear gas shells to disperse people which resulted in clashes,” local sources said.
There was no report of any injury, however.
In Ajas, people took out a peaceful march after people offered prayers at a single place.
