One Seema Shashtra Bal (SSB) personnel was killed while seven others were injured in a suspected militant attack in summer capital late Friday evening.
While withdrawing from their duties this evening, SSB convoy came under fire in Zakura near J&K Bank, security officials said.
Reinforcements were rushed to the area as firing created panic in the area.
Sources in SKIMS Soura told Kashmir Life that it received eight injured SSB personnel.
“One was brought dead while two of the seven other injured personnel are critical,” sources said.
They added that the injured SSB personnel have been rushed to Srinagar based army hospital of 15 corps at Badambagh for advanced treatment.
