Following the calendar of resistance leadership, people of Chenab valley are observing a complete shutdown on Saturday.

The major towns in Doda and Kishtwar districts are observing a complete shutdown. Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Farooq Ahmed Kichloo during his Friday sermon yesterday asked people to follow the call.

He also condemned civilian killings in Kashmir and the registration of FIRs against the youths and several other people.

The resistance leadership has asked people to hold protests in solidarity with the people in Chenab and Pir Panjal regions.

All the shops and business establishments belonging to Muslim community in the twin districts of Doda and Kishtwar remained closed while the traffic is off the road.

All the private institutions are closed, beside the attendance in government schools also remained very thin, however, no report of any untoward incident was reported from any part of the District Kishtwar or Doda, so far.

Keeping in view of the strike call, the local administration and police have strengthened the security arrangements at key locations in sensitive areas.
