Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Tuesday said the objections and suggestions received in regard to the Draft Srinagar Master Plan 2015-35 will be objectively scrutinized before finalizing the draft.

In a statement spokesman said, he was speaking at a meeting convened to get an understanding of objections and suggestions received from the public regarding the Draft Srinagar Master Plan.

Pertinently, Dr. Shah heads a sub-committee formed to deliberate on certain important objections and suggestions received from the public with regard to the Draft Master Plan and submit recommendations in regard to them to the main Committee formed under the Development Act for the assessment of objections and suggestions received about it.

The DC said the aim of convening this meeting was to emphasize the importance of ensuring utmost objectivity in all the processes of drafting the Master Plan.

The Master Plan 2015-35 involves land suitability and environmental sustainability for conceiving the future planning strategy of Srinagar.
