Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Lone, Thursday convened a meeting to review the arrangements in connection with celebration of Urs Sharief of Hazrat Abu Bakar-e-Sidiq (RA) to be observed on April 01, 2016 at Hazratbal Shrine and Jenab Sahib Kalashpora Srinagar.
Officers from departments of Srinagar Municipal Corporation, PDD, PHE, JK Muslim Wakaf Board, JKSRTC, Fire and Emergency Services and Traffic attended the said meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure proper sanitation, un-interrupted Water/Power Supply, availability of Transport/ regulation of traffic in the area during Urs days so that the devotees do not face any difficulty.
It was given out that Sub Divisional Magistrate (East) Srinagar has been deployed as Nodal officer to coordinate with the concerned Departments for making all the required arrangements.
