SRINAGAR: Mobile internet services have been snapped in south Kashmir districts ahead of counting for District Development Council elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

The internet speed has also been downgraded across other districts of the Valley with 4G services in Ganderbal being pinned down to 2G speed.

The elections to the first-ever DDCs in Jammu and Kashmir were held in eight phases from November 28 to December 19 with 51 per cent of the 57 lakh eligible voters exercising their franchise in the elections.

The DDC polls are the first election exercise post abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A.
