Body of a youth in his early twenties was found at Qamarabad locality of Srinagar’s Qamarwari Thursday under suspicious state.
Police identified the deceased as Javed Ahmad Khan of Sogam Kupwara.
Locals said that before dawn prayers, two motor-cycle-borne youth dropped the body in the area and left thus fuelling the murder speculations around. “There was a rope tied around his neck,” the locals said.
Meanwhile, Police has taken youth’s body along with his cellphone and identity card under custody and have started a manhunt.
