Government announced that it is pursuing the matter with Union Government for declaration of the Mughal Road as “National Highway”.
In a written reply to lawmaker, Shehnaz Ganai, the state Government informed the recently concluded state legislature about progress of work on tunnel that is being constructed across Pir Panchal Pass from Chattapani to Zaznar.
It also said that the government has contacted a number of Private developers to explore the possibilities of constructing the tunnel on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) model.
