SRINAGAR: A day after his trip to Ladakh, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday visited a key forward post along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district to review the prevailing security situation.
Singh who was on a two-day visit to the Kashmir, he was accompanied by Gen Bipin Rawat, Chief of Defence Staff, Gen MM Naravane, COAS, Lt Gen YK Joshi, Northern Army Commander and Lt Gen BS Raju, Chinar Corps Commander.
Srinagar based defence spokesman in a statement said Singh reviewed the situation on the LoC and interacted with the troops deployed there.
Visited a forward post near LoC in Kupwara District of Jammu-Kashmir today and interacted with the soldiers deployed there.

According to the spokesman, the defence minister appreciated their dedication and vigilance.
Earlier in the day, Singh offered prayers at the Amarnath cave. Later in the afternoon, the defence minister departed from Srinagar for Delhi, said the spokesman.
