SRINAGAR: Delhi Airport has advised passengers to plan their journeys in advance and allow additional travel time on Saturday amid heightened security arrangements and anticipated traffic restrictions across the national capital.

The advisory was issued ahead of a proposed demonstration by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and several student organisations over alleged irregularities in the revision of electoral rolls.
In its statement, the airport urged passengers travelling to and from the facility to account for possible delays and consider alternative transport options, including app-based taxis and city buses, to ensure smoother journeys.
The airport said enhanced security measures and expected traffic restrictions could affect commuters accessing the airport, advising travellers to make appropriate arrangements before setting out.
The proposed protest is being organised by the CJP along with student groups, including the All India Students’ Association (AISA).
The demonstrators are demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The allegations have prompted opposition protests, with demonstrators seeking accountability and action over the voter-list revision process.
