SRINAGAR: Family members of the three men from Budgam district who were arrested by the Delhi Police’s Special Cell a few days ago held a demonstration here in Budgam on Saturday in BJP’s public rally to appeal to the central government to release their kin as they were innocent.

According to news agency KDC the family members of the three men, who have been arrested by Delhi Police’s Special Cell for their alleged links with ISI and Khalistani groups, held a protest in BJP’s public rally at Bus stand Budgam. National general secretary BJP, Tarun Chug, Union MoS Anurag Thakur and Spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain are addressing this public rally here.

The family members mostly women assembled here at the public rally and raised slogans of- Delhi Police “Hai Hai”, “we want justice” and “our sons are innocents”.

“The Delhi Police can verify the records of all the three persons through the Jammu and Kashmir Police and other government agencies. They are not involved in any illegal activities,” they said in front of BJP’S top leadership.

They said the Delhi Police Special Cell has “implicated them in a false case without justifying their involvement in any militant activity”.

The protesting family members said they want the higher-ups to intervene in the matter to secure the release of their kin.

Shabir Ahmed Gojri, Reyaz Ahmed Rather, and Muhammad Ayub Pathan, all residents of central Kashmir’s Budgam district were arrested on 7th of this month along with two Sikhs in New Delhi for their alleged links with ISI and Khalistani groups.
