Chairman Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Mohd Ashraf Sehrai on Monday urged the world trade organisations including World Bank and IMF to link their trade and economic contracts with India with the peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute and press authorities to resolve the dispute as per the wishes of people of Kashmiris.

The spokesman said that Delhi is committing gross human rights violations in Kashmir where the entire population of the disputed territory is living under military rule. He also welcomed Pakistan Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed’s announcement during his address to the “Parliamentarians for Al Quds’ Global Conference at Istanbul, attended by 74 countries, where he announced the formation of a Pakistan parliamentary forum on Palestine, Kashmir and Rohingya (PKR), to promote and protect the cause of these peoples, and said, it reflects the feeling of the global community on the issue.

Sehrai said that we welcome the move and demanded that Kashmir issue should be solved on urgent basis. Such international statements reflect that there is a growing feeling among the global community that lingering Kashmir issue continues to pose a threat to the peace of the region, apart from increasing the confrontation between India and Pakistan, which can turn the situation explosive anytime, thereby, plunging the future of South Asia into uncertainty and insecurity.

Meanwhile, On the directions of Sehrai, funeral prayers in absentia held for Pulwama “Martyrs” in Hyderpora Jamia Masjid Srinagar led by Mohd Yousuf Lone.
