The Delhi High Court on Wednesday granted bail to a Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Watali, who has been charged with waging war against the nation and one of the 12 accused in 2017, militant-funding case.
According to an official source, Watali has to furnish a personal bail bond of Rs 2 lakh besides submitting his passport. Watali was arrested by National Investigation Agency (NIA) on August 17, 2017, for his alleged role in a militant-funding case. He has been lodged in Tihar jail since his arrest.
According to reports, Watali was questioned by NIA regarding incriminating financial transaction details and property-related records seized during the searches on his residence.
