Srinagar

The Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday said the thrashing of five Kashmiris in Delhi pertains to ‘neighborhood dispute’ as communicated to them by their counterparts in Delhi.

A police spokesperson said the matter has been taken up with the concerned authorities in Delhi and the police officers in Kashmir are in touch with their counterparts from Delhi.

He said the issue as “communicated by the authorities from Delhi pertains to the neighborhood dispute and Delhi Police has taken the cognizance of this incident.”

He said the statement was issued as the “video was being circulated on social media and various other media platforms, in which it has been shown that two Kashmir based women in the Capital City of Delhi, are being thrashed.”
