Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi on Thursday has been admitted to a hospital after her health deteriorated at her Srinagar’s Soura residence.

According to the Andrabi’s personal secretary, Sofi Fehmeeda, Andrabi, had an Asthma attack on Thursday morning, “we have admitted her to the Safa Marwah hospital and she is undergoing treatment now,” Fehmeeda said.

She said the health of Andrabi has deteriorated since she was lodged in the Jammu jail against the doctors’ advice.

“The health of Baaji Sahiba took a hit when she was kept in Jammu jail and authorities had denied the treatment for her there. Today’s attack and the deteriorated health condition is a result of that confinement,” Fehmeeda added.

Fehmeeda further appealed the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir to hold special prayers for the speedy recovery of party chairperson.

“As Muslims, it is our duty to pray for the better health of our fellow Muslims. The people of J&K must hold special prayers for Baaji Sahiba so that Allah (SWT) cures her ailments,” she added.
