Srinagar
Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, on Tuesday, hailed the government of Pakistan over the decision to declare April 6 as Kashmir Solidarity Day.
The spokesman said it is mandatory for Pakistan to make the Kashmir problem as its national issue for its resolution.
The spokesman quoted Andrabi saying “It is a matter of satisfaction that Government of Pakistan’s has decided to observe April 6 as the Kashmir Solidarity Day to mourn and express solidarity with the people of Kashmir who lost 18 young souls in the past two days, but the government of Pakistan must not confine this solidarity to a single day but should make Kashmir issue its national issue that needs to be resolved.
She said that Pakistan cannot afford to ignore Kashmir while Kashmiris are being killed. “The government of Pakistan shouldn’t forget its responsibility vis-à-vis Kashmir and it shouldn’t react only when people get killed but every time.
She said that when the Kashmir issue will be pursued as a national cause, Pakistan too will be able to have a direct say in Kashmir affairs. “India, based on its lies and propaganda, has made its position strong. India says that ‘Kashmir is its integral part’ without any basis. It is a big lie that Kashmiris are struggling to be out from the clutches of government from past 70 years and the world recognizes Kashmir as an international dispute.
