Dukhtaran-e-Millat chairperson Syed Asiya Andrabi on Wednesday paid glowing tributes to the militants who were killed during an encounter in the forests of Tral on Tuesday.

The spokesman in a statement said that three locals and a foreign militant were killed yesterday. These militants are our national assets, adding that Jammu and Kashmir will continue to struggle until the government ends here.

Meanwhile, Andrabi condemned the nocturnal raids in Murran Pulwama, during which nine youth arrested “use of force has been displayed by the governmental forces who have arrested these boys out from their residential houses.

The spokesman further said that the health of Baaji Sahiba is deteriorating with every passing day and the government continues to deny her proper medical treatment. This is well thought out ploy to break Baaji Sahiba’s resolve.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson also expressed dismay and anguish over the recent order by the principal of Nawa Kadal Women College, Fatima Ladakhi, who has asked the students not to be in “Purdah” while they are in college.

“We appeal this principle that as a Muslim she should refrain from issuing such statement. Having the name Fatima, she shouldn’t try to tinker with the basic principles of Islam and should withdraw this order as soon as possible. Issuing such an order is a direct attack on the basic tenet of Islam and is a major crime as far as Islamic jurisprudence is considered,” the spokesman quoted DeM saying.
