A spokesman of the Democratic Freedom Party told Kashmir Life that they are supporting the Hartal call given by both the factions of Hurriyat conference.

He also said that the party president Shabir Shah, who was arrested on Friday night, has been shifted to central Jail.

“The party is supporting the call given by both the factions of Hurriyat Conference and people of Kashmir should observe complete shutdown till Friday .

Earlier in the day Hurriyat Conference (G) called for complete shutdown till Friday. Geelani led faction of Hurriyat has also called ‘Eidgah challo’ on Friday, February 15.

“Hurriyat has extended the shutdown program up to February 15, people are also appealed to gather in Eidgah Srinagar on Friday where a protest demonstration will be held to press for the mortal remains of Afzal Guru and Maqbool Bhat,” Tehreek-e-Hurriyat spokesman Dr Ghulam Mohammad Ganai told Kashmir Life.

Ganai said that they have no communications with Hurriyat chairman, Syed Ali Geelani but the available leadership has decided to extend the ongoing protest strike up to February 15.
