SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chowdhary on Wednesday assured that the government is making every effort to ascertain the causes behind the mysterious deaths in Rajouri, which have claimed 16 lives so far.
During a visit to Government Hospital Shalamar to enquire about the condition of the victims, Chowdhary stated that the administration is undertaking a comprehensive research exercise to identify the underlying reasons for the tragedy.
Accompanied by MLA Budhal Javaid Choudhary and senior officials, the Deputy Chief Minister directed the hospital authorities to ensure all necessary medical facilities are provided to the affected individuals.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the visit, Chowdhary revealed that investigative agencies, including the police, have been instructed to conduct a thorough probe into the incidents. “If foul play is detected, stringent action will be taken against the culprits,” he assured.
The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing the issue and preventing such tragedies in the future. Efforts are underway to provide relief to the affected families and restore confidence among the local population.
