While condemning the recent act of desecration of historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar by some unknown people, JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik on Monday said that places of worship and pulpits are signs of Allah and revered seats of our religion, and we as Muslims cannot allow anyone to dishonour these places.

In a statement, Malik said that every saner person of our society has and will always stand against such condemnable acts. Jamia Masjid is a sacred place for us and we as a nation will not allow anyone to violate its sanctity.

Meanwhile, a memorial meeting was held at JKLF head office in Srinagar today to remember and recall the services, struggle and sacrifices of legendary professor Abdul Ahmad Wani who embraced “martyrdom” on December 31, 1993. The meeting which was attended by various JKLF leaders and activists was chaired by JKLF chairman who along with others addressed the meeting.
