Director General Health Services (DGSH), Dr Saleem ur Rehman chaired a joint review meeting regarding the transformation of aspirational districts (TAD) Kupwara and Baramulla along with  Mission Director, National Health Mission Dr Mohan Singh, said an official statement.

The meeting was attended by State Programme Manager NIPI-Jhpiego (Development Partner for the State) and various health officers/officials of District Baramulla, Kupwara & National Health Mission, J&K. The meeting was held in the office chamber of Director General, Health Services, the statement said.

“After taking a detailed review of all the indicators of NITI Aayog for Transformation of Aspirational Districts, DGHS stressed upon the officials to achieve the targets set by the NITI Aayog within the stipulated time. In order to monitor the progress DGHS & MD National Health Mission constituted a joint team for each district comprising of representatives from  Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir, National Health Mission and NIPPI-Jhpiego who shall monitor and update the progress of all the 31 indicators of the TAD to the Directorate & NHM office,” the statement said.

An official statement said that MD NHM directed the officials to work with utmost devotion in order to achieve the objectives.
