Ahead of Darbar move and Eid ul Zuha, a high level meeting of senior officers was held at Police Control Room (PCR) on Tuesday to review the security arrangements. . The meeting was chaired by the Ashok Prasad, Director General of police (DGP).

It was informed in the meeting that all necessary arrangements have been taken to ensure the security of employees and records from Srinagar to Jammu. DGP stressed upon the officers to work in close coordination and all arrangements should be finalized in advance. “While making arrangements it should be kept in mind that the common commuters are not put to any inconvenience during their travel on the highway”, said DGP.

For Eid celebration, Prasad emphasized  for ensuring sufficient police bandbust at all religious places where congregations would take place so that the celebrations ends peacefully, besides maintaining law and order during the celebrations.

While as, the other officers briefed about their arrangements vis a vis their concerned departments in the meeting. S. M. Sahai, IGP Kashmir Zone, informed the meeting about arrangements made at different places where Eid prayers would be held. He said that all required arrangements would be made to make the access of the people to the places of worship convenient.

IGP Traffic, Muneer Ahmed Khan also briefed the meeting about the arrangements made for the smooth flow of traffic on the national highway on the scheduled dates of Darbar move. He also said that flying squads have been constituted to monitor the movement of the traffic and ensure its smooth flow.

Besides all these arrangements, a Special Traffic Control Room has been established at Ramban to maintain coordination among the cops deployed at various locations on the highway.
