Former Chief of RAW and Special Director IB, A S Dulat on Friday said that “dialogue is only way to bring peace in Jammu and Kashmir.”
According to a report published by Times of India, peace can be achieved only through talks, A S Dulat said. The report quotes him saying “Kashmir is a political problem and it can be resolved only through political dialogue.”
Talking about the former PM of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who breathed his last on August 16, Dulat said that he was a leader who had the will for peace and that is the only way that we can have peace in the valley.
The report further said that Dulat after meeting few officials in Pakistan said that “I get the feeling that they also want peace. However, we have become cynical and open up a bit. The biggest concerns in Kashmir now are the local youth joining militancy and radicalization
“As Khan will take over as the new PM, we must start talking to him to bring peace to the valley,” Times of India quoted Dulat as saying.
