According to police spokesman, Deputy Inspector General of police, CKR, S Afad-ul-Mujtaba inaugurated a youth club at Kanitar, Sadderbal Srinagar. The club will provide facilities for indoor sports, internet besides a library for the youth of the area.

“As a part of, Civic Action Programme of the J&K Police, a youth club was inaugurated by DIG, CKR, S A Mujtaba in the presence of SSP, Srinagar Ashiq Bukhari at Kanitar, Sadderbal in close vicinity of the Kashmir university campus, opposite to Legends Pubic School,” read the statement.

“The youth club will provide facilities like a gymnasium, indoor games, internet and library where students aiming for national level and state level competitive exams will get the requisite study material. Besides, career counseling will also be provided to the youth, under direct supervision of the SP, Hazratbal, aided by the other IPS, KPS officers posted in the district,” added the statement.

Local people especially the youth have lauded the initiative of J&K Police and participated overwhelmingly in the inaugural function.
