DIG Jammu Extends Raksha Bandhan Greetings, Urges Women to Report Crimes

   

SRINAGAR: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police for Jammu, Samba, and Kathua Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma, has extended heartfelt Raksha Bandhan greetings to women across the three districts, assuring them of full safety and security from the JK Police.

In his message, DIG Sharma said, “Best wishes on Raksha Bandhan to all my respected sisters of Jammu, Kathua, and Samba. JK Police is committed to ensuring your safety irrespective of caste, colour, creed, or religion.”

He appealed to women to promptly report any crime, harassment, or eve-teasing to the police without hesitation. For cybercrime complaints, including fake photos or IDs, women can call the toll-free number 1930, and for crimes against women, they can reach out at 1091.

“Women Police Stations and Cyber Police Stations are always there to help. Be safe, be secure, and know that JK Police is with you and for you always,” DIG Sharma said in his message, signing off as “Your Brother.” (KNC)
