Director Agriculture Kashmir Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi today visited Fruit Mandi Parimpora to review implementation of Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) recently introduced by J&K Government (JKHPM) in collaboration with National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED).

During the visit the Director interacted with the fruit growers and farmer. Highlighting the importance of Market Intervention Scheme. He said that this initiative has been taken by the Government to benefit the gross root level growers and farmers.

He said this scheme has been devised in consonance with the idea that broker and commission agents are side lined and the sellers and buyers are provided a common plate form, from where they could interact and come to terms in a conducive and friendly environment.

He expressed satisfaction over the set quality parameters that are being up held during the entire process of procurement under the scheme.

Earlier, Area Marketing Officer Srinagar Syed Sarwar Ali gave a detailed presentation of different activities that are being carried out at Fruit Mandi Parimpora.

Director was accompanied by Deputy Director Central Amir Ud Din Andrabi and other concerned officers.
