Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the progress of District Committees constituted for inspection of coaching/tuition centers running in Jammu province.
The meeting was attended by Director, School Education Jammu Rakesh Srangal, Additional Commissioner Rahul Sharma, ADC Jammu, Rishpal Singh, ADC Samba Dr. Arun Manhas, Joint Director School Education M Latief besides ADCs and CEOs of other districts of Jammu division attended the meeting through video conferencing.
The meeting was informed that the district level committees were constituted in all the districts of Jammu division. Director School Education apprised the chair about the number of cases they have received for the registration of coaching institutes from various districts.
ADCs and CEOs of all the districts informed that the process of inspection is in progress and said that many institutions have been closed by the district committees after finding deficiencies.
While directing the district level committees to expedite the pace of inspection, Sanjeev Verma asked to send the status reports to his office on regular basis. He also directs to check the fee structure and other basic facilities of coaching institutes.
