Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Rohit Kansal today through video conferencing convened a meeting with all the Deputy Commissioners of valley to take stock of the distribution of free ration among the families of flood affected areas here today.
Secretary CAPD, Baseer Ahmed Khan, DC Srinagar, Farooq Ahmed Shah, DC Budgam, Manzoor Ahmed Lone, Director Information, Tasaduq Jeelani besides representatives of various gas and oil companies participated.
Secretary CAPD exhorted upon the Deputy Commissioners to monitor the distribution of the free ration among the flood affected families in their concerned districts and directed the concerned officers of CAPD to lift immediately the allocated quota of food grains for the current month. Adding that the distribution of free ration among the flood victims is demand driven programme, Mr. Khan asked the concerned Assistant Directors of CAPD to submit the distribution report to the Divisional Administration on daily basis.
All the deputy Commissioners put forth their requisition regarding the LPG and K-oil on the occasion and where assured that the necessary supplies of LPG and K-oil shall be made available to them.
Div Com Kashmir emphasized all the Deputy Commissioners to redouble their efforts for the distribution of free ration among the flood affected families of the valley. He also enjoined them for establishing complaint and grievance cells in their respective districts besides give wide publicity to the telephone numbers of these grievance cells among the people.
