According to the Divisional Administration, Kashmir, an avalanche warning exists for avalanche prone areas above 3500 meters altitude of Ganderbal and Kargil districts from 04 April to 5 April, 2016.
An official spokesperson said that people of these areas have been advised not to venture in the avalanche prone areas.
Meanwhile, in view of incessant rains the district administration has established a control room in the district. The control room will work round the clock under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner.
