SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, on Thursday said the administration is fully prepared for the holy month of Ramadan, with a high-level meeting scheduled for Friday to finalise preparations.
Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Bidhuri, acknowledged concerns over unscheduled power cuts but said the situation remains stable. “Even during inclement weather, the power supply has been satisfactory, and authorities expect a smooth supply during Ramadan as well,” he said.
When asked about the weather alert, he said that recent rainfall has not significantly impacted the power supply, with 90 percent of supply lines operational. “Air and railway transport are running smoothly, while national highways remain open, except for some border areas,” he added.
