SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Wednesday directed officials to undertake a joint inspection of the Medicity site to resolve issues related to land demarcation and ensure the required right of way for the project.
Garg issued the directions while chairing a meeting convened to review various issues concerning the Medicity project.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo, besides senior officers from the Srinagar Development Authority (SDA), Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department, SIDCO, Industries and Commerce Department and Project Coordinator Sajad Nazir Shah, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the demarcation of land earmarked for the Medicity project and the 15-metre Right of Way (RoW) or buffer area between the new Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court complex and the Medicity site.
The Divisional Commissioner took note of the issues raised by the concerned departments and the executing agency and directed the officers to conduct a joint inspection of the site to resolve the demarcation issue.
He further directed that revenue officials from the concerned departments be associated with the demarcation process to ensure that the land is demarcated strictly in accordance with the approved 2021 plan.
Garg also stressed the need to ensure the requisite right of way for the Medicity project so that its implementation proceeds smoothly without further impediments.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar assured all possible support and facilitation for resolving the issue at the earliest.
Earlier, Project Coordinator Sajad Nazir Shah briefed the meeting about the approved Medicity plan and the proposed Right of Way.
