The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to review the working of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan-Dhan Yojna (PM-KMY) scheme.
The Divisional Commissioner directed all Deputy Commissioners (DC) along with Agriculture and Horticulture departments to organize seminars, awareness camps and public interaction programmes in all Agriculture zones in their respective districts and propagate the pensioner benefits of PM-KMY scheme among the farmers.
The DCs will also earmark Chief Agriculture Officers as nodal officers for the enrolment of eligible and desirous SMFs with Aadhaar details. The officers of Agriculture department shall upload duly filled forms at internet kiosks which have been already established in every DC offices of Kashmir Division.
All Deputy Commissioners will review the progress of PM-KMY scheme on weekly basis in their respective districts and send the report to the Divisional Commissioner’s office, the meeting directed.
Additional Commissioner Kashmir Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Director Agriculture Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi, Director Horticulture Aijaz Ahmad Bhat and other concerned officers were present in the meeting where as all Deputy Commissioners of the valley participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
