District Magistrate Kupwara, GM Dar, Thursday sanctioned Rs 56 lakh ex-gratia relief in favour of militancy affected in the district.
The DM chaired a meeting on Wednesday which discussed various militancy affected cases. During the meeting, Rs 48 lakh in 12 cases of financial assistance, Rs. 1 lakh as ex-gratia to next of kin of deceased person, Rs 3 lakh in favour of 5 injured persons, and Rs 4 lakh for two property damage cases as ex gratia relief to militancy victims was awarded.
The meeting directed for constituting a committee to solve cases related to disappeared persons, while as 3 cases of SHRC and 6 cases relating to Police Department were discussed in detail for clearance.
