SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday issued an alert regarding a video released by militants featuring a poster of the Bollywood movie “Phantom” along with a photograph of actor Saif Ali Khan.
The police have urged the public to refrain from sharing the video and emphasised that posting and forwarding such content is an offence under Sections 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
“A 5 minute 55 second video by Jaish, featuring a poster of the Bollywood movie ‘Phantom’ and a photograph of actor Saif Ali Khan, was released by the enemy at around 2 PM on 22 July 2024. Alert everyone that they must do the following: First, do not forward it in any manner to anyone; second, report by message who sent them this propaganda video, including the telephone number and the date and time they received the video. Any government officer receiving it should also report it to their supervisory officers by text message,” police said in a statement.
The statement continued, “Under no circumstances should this video be forwarded. Remember that posting and forwarding content of this nature is an offence under Sections 13 and 18 of the UAPA.”
