SRINAGAR

Medical Employees Joint Action Forum (MEJAF) while displaying their displeasure over the ‘criminal silence’ of the government over spurious drug scandal, Saturday said the minister involved in this crime is still occupying the berth in Cabinet and there is no way to believe that guilty will be punished at all.

Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, a local news agency, CNS reported that the president MEJAF, Dr Nisar-ul-Haq has said that as a mark of protest against the inaction shown by the government in the spurious drug scam, “we have decided that all the doctors and paramedical staff of the valley will wear black badges on the arrival of Prime Minister and UPA Chairperson on June 26.”

“If Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi want to give some solace to people of Valley then they should direct their minister to step aside from his cabinet post till an impartial probe is conducted,” he said and demanded that all the Central Purchasing Committee and other Board members should be suspended.
