SRINAGAR: Doda Police have asked people not to share fake news, old videos, hate speeches or any content that can cause trouble or unrest.
SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta said sharing such unverified content is a crime and action will be taken under the IT Act and Indian Penal Code. He also mentioned an earlier order of the District Magistrate (No. 3471-74/DM Doda dated 03.09.2025) reminding everyone to be careful online.
People are urged to check any information before forwarding it and to report false or harmful posts to the nearest police station or helpline.
Police said they are committed to keeping peace in the district and seek public support to stop the spread of rumors and misinformation.
