Doley Barman, JKPs Senior Most Lady Retires

SRINAGAR: Jammu Kashmir Police’s Additional DG rank female officer D R Doley Barman has superannuated. The 1986 batch IPS officer served the police for 32 years.

A police spokesman said the police organisation gave her a warm send off at an impressive function that Police Chief Dilbag Singh presided.

Doley a 1986 batch IPS officer superannuated as Chairperson cum MD J&K Police Housing Corporation on May 31, 2019 after rendering more than 32 years service.

Doley had joined the department in December 1986 and remained posted at different positions during her service career. She served as SDPO Reasi, SP Traffic Srinagar, AIG (Pers) PHQ, SSP Udhampur, DIG Traffic, DIG Administration PHQ, IGP CID, IGP Hqrs PHQ, ADGP Hqrs PHQ and ADGP HG/CD/SDRF.

Besides, she served as Director North East Police Academy and Director SVP National Police Academy, Hyderabad during her deputation to the central government.

Speaking on this occasion, Dilbag Singh highlighted the contribution of Doley to J&K Police and also to the institutions she served during her deputation. He said that her work for Welfare of Police personnel will be long remembered.

In her address the DGP also highlighted the capabilities of the officer and said that her excellent organisational skills contributed much to the organisation.

Doley Barman in her address thanked the DGP and other officers for organizing the farewell party for her. She spoke about some of the experiences of her life. She said that Jammu and Kashmir Police was among the best police departments of the country whose mere mention is received with respect in the country. A short film of her career was also screened on this occasion.

Singh on behalf of all ranks presented gifts and memento to the D R Doley. She is from Assam and is living in Gawhati.
